In The Studio: Kids’ Comic Book Art with special guest Kam Komics

We have a special event for the kids featuring a guest artist/instructor, Kam Reynolds of Kam Komics. Kam will be leading the kids in a 2-hour workshop on the essentials of comic book art! And, if we are lucky, he may even hold a mini rap session with them as well.
This event is designed for kids age 7 and up. Parents are welcome to stay and watch (standing room only). Kids only need to bring a drink, a snack, their creativity and desire to learn some new ways to make art and have fun!
The 2-hour session will be held as follows:
Comic book drawing session (~1hour)
- Learn tips on creating a character
- Learn tips on character action
- Learn tips on sequencing your stories
Creation time (~40mins)
- Take your time and create a mini comic book or comic strip
Followed up with a special all ages rap session.
**Registered artists must give 12-hour notice if they need to cancel their spot in the class to receive a full refund.
***In Studio classes are held in the basement of an historic building. It is not ADA accessible.
